What data we collect and why
When you contact us or arrange a viewing we collect the details you provide (typically your name, email address and phone number) together with information about the property you are interested in or selling. We use this data to respond to your enquiry, arrange viewings and valuations, and provide our estate agency services. If you become a client, we also process the data needed to fulfil our contract and meet legal obligations (including anti-money-laundering rules that apply to estate agencies in Spain).
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (when you send an enquiry), the performance of a contract (when we act as your agent), and compliance with legal obligations. We do not sell your data, and we only share it with third parties where necessary to provide our services, for example with lawyers or notaries involved in a transaction, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client and transaction records are retained for the periods required by Spanish tax, commercial and anti-money-laundering law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, restrict or object to its processing, and request portability. To exercise any of these rights, email mallorca@ibproperties.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es).
